At PipelineScout, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We collect information to provide, improve, and secure the PipelineScout service. The categories of information we collect include:
We may receive limited information from third-party services when you interact with integrations or when we verify account information. This includes authentication signals from email providers when magic links are used to sign in.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
We process your personal data based on the legal bases of (a) performance of a contract with you when providing the Service, (b) our legitimate interests in improving the Service and preventing fraud, and (c) your consent where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only for the purposes we specify and in accordance with our privacy standards:
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, or valid legal process (such as a court order or subpoena), or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person, prevent fraud, or enforce our Terms of Service.
If PipelineScout is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your personal data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
We may share your information with other parties when you explicitly direct us to do so or grant permission.
We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information — which cannot reasonably be used to identify you — publicly or with third parties for industry research, market analysis, or product improvement purposes.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. Here is what we use and why:
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. They include session authentication tokens and security cookies. You cannot opt out of essential cookies without stopping use of the Service.
These cookies remember your choices and settings, such as your selected service areas, dashboard layout preferences, and notification settings. They improve your experience but are not required for core functionality.
We use first-party analytics to understand how users interact with the Service. This helps us make product decisions. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized where possible. We also use a lightweight beacon pixel (hosted at polsia.com) for aggregate traffic counting; this collects only an anonymized visitor ID and does not track personal identifiers.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or using the Service. Most modern browsers allow you to:
Our Service does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals from browsers, as there is no consistent industry standard for how such signals should be interpreted.
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Specifically:
After the applicable retention period, your data will be securely deleted or anonymized so that it can no longer be associated with you.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our security practices include:
Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you believe your account has been compromised or you become aware of any unauthorized use, please contact us immediately at security@pipelinescout.io.
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law — typically within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach where feasible.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. We respect and honor these rights regardless of where you are located:
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including your account information and any user-generated content. We will provide this in a machine-readable format upon request.
You can update your account information directly within the Service settings. If you need help correcting inaccurate data, contact our support team.
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to our data retention obligations (e.g., billing records required for compliance).
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email, or by adjusting notification settings in your account. You cannot opt out of transactional communications (such as sign-in links and billing receipts) while your account is active.
In certain circumstances, you may request that we restrict the processing of your personal data while we resolve a dispute about its accuracy or lawfulness.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at privacy@pipelinescout.io.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal bases for processing are described in Section 2. To exercise your rights under GDPR, contact us at privacy@pipelinescout.io.
To exercise any of these rights, please email privacy@pipelinescout.io. We will respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
